
Essay and Video Contests on Antimicrobial Resistance for Students
We are organizing an essay and a video contest for students of Singapore schools (including polytechnics but excluding universities).
The essay contest is open to students between 13 and 20 years of age. No entry fee is required, and any essay format (i.e. fiction, scientific communication, poetry, etc) is welcome. The essays should be submitted between 1st June and 30th August 2017, and there will be 2 categories of prizes – one for secondary schools, and the second for polytechnics and junior colleges. The video contest is open to students between 14 and 20 years of age. No entry fee is required, and we welcome any original video that is no longer than 3 minutes that reflects the theme of the contest “Antibiotic Resistance: How It Impacts Us”. The contest videos should be uploaded onto YouTube, with the video URL and a caption emailed to us between 1st June and 30th September 2017. There will be 2 categories of prizes – one for secondary schools, and the second for polytechnics and junior colleges. Prizes will be presented at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health during World Antibiotic Awareness Week in November 2017. Please participate – or get your children/friends to participate if eligible!
